The villains have slowly been gathering power, and reached their dream in the Dark Reign of Norman Osborn, as the heroes that hunted them, are seen as illegal outlaws. Asgard has had it's moments as well. Now it floats over Oklahoma. Norman Osborn is insane and wants all the power he can dream of. He targets Asgard as his final obstacle to his road of power. This is the event that will see heroes who have deep apathy towards each other for over four years let it go, and all join forces as good, to fight the horde of evil that comes their way.
