• PLOT SUMMARY: To the horror of her friends, teammates, and husband; Marrina has indeed become the Leviathan that is ravaging the eastern seaboard! And now the Avengers have to find a way to stop the Leviathan without killing Marrina! The Prince of Atlantis tries to reason with the undersea behemoth, but to no avail. When Marrina capsizes another cargo ship and sinks a U.S. Navy battleship, the heroes realize that lethal force may be necessary. Meanwhile, Dr. Druid continues to have strange visions about a mysterious woman offering him great power and riches. Cameo appearances by Kang the Conqueror, Ravonna, and Henry Pym.

• PLOT SUMMARY: After the epic encounter in Olympus, Earth's Mightiest Heroes enjoy rest and relaxation on Hydro-Base. And while they do, Doctor Druid takes time to eavesdrop on his teammates' whereabouts. Is Doctor Druid's monitoring of his fellow avengers a warning sign of future trouble? In the meantime a call for help comes in from the heartland of America! The Avengers plus Marrina fly to Ohio to check on the Mad Thinker's awesome android that has stood inactive for a long time. However the big gray android is active now! And apparently working for the Fixer! The Mad Thinker's featureless and pudgy creation has battled the Fantastic Four to a standstill in the past! How will the Avengers fare against the rambunctious robot?

 Notes: The Mad Thinker's awesome android previously appeared in Captain America #311. This issue began a difficult stretch for the Avengers series as many of the fan-favorite characters were either starring in the West Coast Avengers series or absent from the east coast lineup due to major events in their own titles. This issue includes a full-page ad for the Fall of the Mutants storyline in the X-Titles.

Surprisingly the mighty Zeus begins to waver under the onslaught from the five powerful avengers and the mystic enchantment of the knight's ebony blade! Unbelievable! Before Jarvis makes up his mind, he takes a walk down memory lane from the earliest days of the Avengers to the present time. The loyal butler reflects upon his first meetings with Thor, the Wasp, the Hulk, and Hawkeye; his first conversations with Captain America, the Vision, and Mantis; and his first encounter with Ultron. Jarvis also recalls some of the Avengers (who like himself) fell upon hard times such as Henry Pym, Quicksilver, the Swordsman, and Iron Man. But when the time of reflection is over, Jarvis reaches a decision! What will it be? An inspiring story! Cameo appearance by Tony Stark.

In the meantime the Black Knight and Doctor Druid relocate to Hydro-Base for combat training while the mansion is closed. However, their training session is dramatically interrupted by Tyrak! The giant Atlantean is still tough, so Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, and the Wasp join the fight too! After the battle Janet Van Dyne realizes that she's ready for a vacation and resigns as chairwoman. So once again the old order changeth!
