The story begins at the Dextron labs in Colorado as both the new Spider-woman (aka Julia Carpenter) and the Wrecking Crew are searching for a highly coveted computer disc. Despite her gallant effort, Spider-woman is unable to prevent the Wrecker, Bulldozer, Piledriver, and Thunderball from stealing the disc. A few days later in New York City, the Wrecker and Spider-woman renew their battle for the disc, but this time a third participant, the Spectacular Spider-Man, joins the fray! Are the two spider-heroes going to fight the Wrecker or each other? Meanwhile, the Wrecker's mother lies near death in Queens.
